TREATMENT OPTIONS
Bleeding that are small don’t need surgical intervention, they can watched.
Neurological examination and repeated CT scans could be required to monitor.
Incase the bleeding is large, the treatment offered is
- Surgical Drainage
A small hole, burr hole is made in the skull and the blood it drained out, this option of treatment is when the bleeding is in a limited area and isn’t clotting in the skull. - Crainiotomy
When the bleeding is large, then a section of the skull could be removed to access the area of bleed to remove the blood.
